ABOUT THIS PROGRAMME

The Doctor of Philosophy in Education programme is offered as a broad approach programme where educational research focuses not only on processes at different levels related to institutions like pre-schools and schools, colleges and universities but also to other formal and informal institutions and arenas, like the family, different organizations, and different informal settings where upbringing, teaching and learning take place. The programme is aimed at developing student’s professional knowledge and understanding in the context of educational research which will enable them to meaningfully contribute to solving educational problems, nationally and internationally with practical, intellectual, creative, critical, managerial, and research skills grounded in strong ethical practices. This programme brings into the classroom real-world issues, challenging professionals in the field.

CHECK IF YOU ARE ELIGIBLE

  1. A Master’s degree in education field (Level 7, MQF) as accepted by the HEP Senate; OR
  2. A Master’s degree (non-education) must undergo prerequisite courses; OR
  3. Other relevant equivalent qualifications recognised by Malaysian government as equivalent to the above requirements.
