ABOUT THIS PROGRAMME
The Master of Science in Water Resources (MSWR) programme aims to provide opportunity to professionals and graduates of civil engineering, water resources or related sciences to pursue a higher knowledge through analysis, synthesis and evaluation level of management theories and practices to cope with the upcoming more complex and challenging Water Resources Sector.
The programme will also provide a pathway for graduating students to undertake PhD research in one of the specialised areas of Water Resources or relevant engineering field.
Key Features
Master of Science in Water Resources is an interdisciplinary post graduate degree program which emphasises the sources of water and supported to a certain extent by three other main areas viz;
- Water movement sources in natural streams
- Chemical and biological components
- Social, economic and legal aspects
- Physical / infrastructure facilities of water resources
CHECK IF YOU ARE ELIGIBLE
- A Bachelor’s Degree with minimum CGPA of 2.75 or equivalent, as accepted by the Senate of KLUST; or
- A Bachelor’s Degree not meeting CGPA 2.75 but above 2.50, may apply to the programme pending internal assessment by the faculty; or
- A Bachelor’s Degree with CGPA below 2.50 or its equivalent qualifications may apply to the programme, subject to a minimum of 5 years of working experience in relevant field
- International applicants who originate from a country where English is the native language; OR are required to have a minimum score of TOEFL 500 OR IELTS 5.0.; OR have attained a degree from a university where the medium of instruction is in English
