The main objective of the Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Business Administration is to prepare candidates to acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to function at the highest academic and professional levels. Exposure in the areas of management will be in-depth, whereby graduates will be focusing on a specialized area and will work to further develop their conceptual and intellectual knowledge and methodological tools necessary to design and conduct independent research. Every PhD student in Business Administration is required to write a thesis as a requirement for the award of the doctoral degree. This is academic research whereby a student has to complete a thesis in the specific area selected. Students will be supervised by a Principal supervisor and a Co-Supervisor where necessary as appointed by KLUST.
Duration
The PhD in Business Administration program is structured to support completion of all requirements between 3 and 6 years for those enrolled in full-time study. For those registered to do part-time basis, they are expected to complete the program between 4 and 8 years.
