The PhD in Information Technology (Ph.D. IT) at Kuala Lumpur University of Science and Technology (KLUST) caters to the growing demand for professionals who manage information resources and solve ICT-related problems in various organizations. This program is also valuable for those involved in educating or training others in information systems and communications. It is an intensive program designed to develop practitioners and teaching faculty with high levels of technical and analytical expertise in specific IT fields, focusing on industry practice over theory. Upon successful completion, graduates are awarded the title of “Doctor” and can use the corresponding post-nominals. The Ph.D. IT research at KLUST unites researchers with experienced personnel from leading organizations to develop and innovate infrastructure solutions, addressing critical issues and setting the future research and education agenda. KLUST is dedicated to leading infrastructure research, in line with its Vision and Mission.

CHECK IF YOU ARE ELIGIBLE
- A Master’s degree (Level 7, MQF) in Computing or related fields as accepted by the HEP Senate; OR
- A Master’s degree (Level 7, MQF) in Non- Computing fields with a minimum of FIVE (5) years of working experience in Computing or related fields must undergo appropriate prerequisite courses as determined by the HEP; OR
- A Master’s degree (Level 7, MQF) in Non- Computing fields with less than FIVE (5) years of working experience in Computing or related fields must undergo a thorough rigorous assessment as determined by the HEP to identify the appropriate prerequisite courses that equivalent to their working experience in the Computing or related fields; OR
- Other qualifications equivalent to a Master’s degree (Level 7, MQF) in Computing or related fields recognised by the Government of Malaysia as equivalent to the above requirement.
