Alumna Hajra Khattab described her university time as culturally enriching experience, where she learned from the diverse backgrounds of her peers. Studying at a university with only a few of her countrymates became an unexpected advantage in her career. “It often serves as a good conversation starter when people ask where I studied.”

She received education especially in economics, equipped her with the skills necessary to excel in her career and allowing her to contribute to policy document design.

Alumnus Borhan fondly recalls the vibrant campus life at IUKL, particularly the sense of community fostered through clubs and events such as the Eid breakfast organized by the international student association. These experiences created lasting memories and friendships.

The rigorous education in Civil Engineering, guided by esteemed professors, equipped Borhan with practical skills and knowledge, which have profoundly shaped his professional life. He is appealed by the programme’s accreditation from Board of Engineering Malaysia (BEM) and Washington Accord.

Borhan gave his special thanks to A.P Dr. Norhaiza, Dr. Zulhazmee, Sir Sayed Khaire bin Sayed Abbas, Dr. Amrul Kayes, and many other lovely lecturers for giving him hands-on projects, which helped prepare him to navigate and excel in his career.
