On August 15, 2023, IUKL organised a significant event to introduce the Diploma in Railway Signal Control Technology (DIRST) programme. This programme offers a unique opportunity for students to pursue studies in both Malaysia and China, leading to a collaborative higher education diploma conferred jointly by IUKL and NIRT. The event was attended by notable individuals including YBhg. Dato’ Sri Ir. Chong Ket Pen, Chairman of IUKL, Prof. Dato’ Dr Noor Inayah Ya’akub, President and Vice-Chancellor of IUKL, Mr. Lenny Chong Ther Zern, Executive Director of IUKL, and distinguished representatives from NIRT.
