On December 13, the Kuala Lumpur University of Science and Technology Belt and Road International Education and Industry–Academia Collaboration Overseas Experts & Professors Appointment Ceremony was successfully held at Crowne Plaza Beijing Zhongguancun. The event brought together distinguished leaders from both the education and business sectors. More than 50 senior professors from renowned universities across China, along with well-known industry experts, were appointed as Professional Professors, Industry Professors, and Entrepreneurship Mentors of Kuala Lumpur University of Science and Technology (KLUST).
Their appointment further strengthens KLUST’s academic faculty, significantly enhances its research and development capabilities, and brings cutting-edge academic perspectives, extensive practical experience, and innovative thinking to the University’s development. The ceremony was conducted in an orderly manner with a lively and engaging atmosphere. Experts, professors, and entrepreneurs expressed their pleasure in participating in the event and highly praised KLUST’s achievements. They also conveyed their strong willingness to actively engage in and collaborate on KLUST’s future initiatives, promoting closer integration and innovation between KLUST and China’s education, industry, and research sectors.
During the ceremony, KLUST officially announced the establishment of the China Regional Expert Committee and the formal inauguration of its Beijing Office. The establishment of these two new entities marks a new phase of strengthened engagement between KLUST and China’s educational resources, contributing to the advancement of international education cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative and further expanding KLUST’s global influence. Moving forward, KLUST will continue to leverage its strengths to enhance the quality of internationalised teaching and research, cultivate talents with strong global competitiveness, and support the University’s long-term development on the international stage.
