A Total of 36 Students and 4 Lecturers from the Civil Engineering Department, Faculty of Engineering, Science & Technology (FEST) and Bachelor of Technology Construction Management (BTCM) of the Faculty of Architecture Built and Environment (FABE) programme went for a visit at Alliance Precast Industries (API) Precast Concrete Plant at Ulu Yam, Selangor. Joining as well students from the Quantity Surveying programme.
The site visit was conducted on Wednesday 23rd August 2023 and the visit has benefited students on how the concrete industry has been implemented and continuously evolves with advanced technology in Malaysia. The tour was led by the API Team themselves leading towards precast materials works, sample testing and also how students’ research contributes to the concrete technology. This exposure certainly gives a hint at how the construction industry has progressed all these years and how IUKL students will be prepared for challenges in the Construction Industry later on.
