On 28th September 2024, the Centre for Foundation and General Studies (CFGS) organized a Short Course on Bahasa Isyarat Malaysia (BIM) to promote inclusivity and communication for individuals with hearing impairments. Over 19 participants from IUKL and beyond learned essential BIM skills, including the alphabet, common phrases, and practice conversations. Special thanks to the Malaysia Federation of the Deaf (MFD) instructors, who highlighted the importance of facial expressions and body language in effective communication. Participants left with newfound confidence and a desire to continue their learning journey. Kudos to CFGS for hosting such an impactful event!
