Kuala Lumpur University of Science and Technology (KLUST) was among ten Chinese TVET institutions and three Malaysian TVET institutions invited by Beijing Tangfeng Chinese Language Education Technology Co., Ltd. to visit China and participate in the “2nd China–Malaysia International Industry–Education Cooperation Forum and 4th Malaysia–China Vocational Education Fair” on 7 November 2025.

The event was officiated by Malaysia’s Deputy Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Dr. Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, and marked a significant milestone with Malaysia securing 2,500 new placements for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) programmes in China next year.
KLUST was represented by Prof. Dr. Suraya Amirrudin, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Student Affairs, Culture and International Relations), who was invited on stage twice: first, to receive recognition as one of the accepted institutions in the Malaysia–China Industry–Education Integration Community of the E-Commerce Industry, and second, to receive a plaque for the MCI International College Projects.

In line with Malaysia’s broader TVET agenda, KLUST continues to strengthen its collaboration with partner institutions and support efforts to create opportunities for Malaysian skilled workers to obtain professional TVET certification in China.
