Program Overview
The KLUST Postdoctoral Fellowship Program offers an excellent opportunity for outstanding PhD graduates and researchers to engage in advanced research and academic collaboration within a dynamic university research environment. The program is designed to strengthen research excellence, promote innovation, and enhance international academic and research collaborations across multidisciplinary fields.
Postdoctoral fellows will have the opportunity to work closely with KLUST academic staff and researchers, contribute to high-impact publications, participate in conferences and scholarly activities, and expand their professional research network. The program welcomes both local and international candidates who are passionate about research, knowledge development, and academic excellence.
The program may be conducted either physically/on-campus or through online mode, subject to the nature of the research collaboration and approval by the university and supervisor.

Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must fulfill the following requirements:
- Possess a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree qualification from a recognized institution
- Demonstrate active research interest and capability
- Submit a complete application with supporting documents
- Meet any additional requirements determined by RMC or research supervisor
Duration of Program
The Postdoctoral Fellowship Program is offered for a minimum duration of six (6) months and a maximum duration of one (1) year, subject to the terms and conditions of the appointment.
The program may be conducted in either physical/on-campus mode or online mode depending on the approved research arrangement, nature of collaboration, and approval by the university and research supervisor.
Required Documents
Applicants are required to submit the following documents:
- Completed application form
- Curriculum Vitae (CV)
- PhD certificate and academic certificates
- Passport copy / Identification document
- Research proposal or statement of research interest
- List of publications (if applicable)
- Any supporting documents relevant to the application
Application Procedure
Step 1 – Submission of Application
Candidates submit the completed application form together with all required supporting documents.

Step 2 – Application Review
The Research Management Centre (RMC) and relevant faculty/supervisor review the application and evaluate the candidate’s eligibility.
Step 3 – Offer Letter Issuance
Eligible candidates will receive an official Offer Letter from the university.
Step 4 – Acceptance by Candidate
Candidates are required to sign and return the Offer Letter for confirmation of acceptance.
Step 5 – Issuance of LOA and TOR
Upon acceptance, the university will issue the Letter of Appointment (LOA) and Terms of Reference (TOR).
Step 6 – Postdoctoral Research Period
The postdoctoral fellow will conduct research activities and demonstrate research progress throughout the appointment period.
Step 7 – Completion and Certification
Upon successful completion of the program and fulfillment of the required research outcomes, the candidate may apply for the Postdoctoral Completion Certificate.
