As part of the China–ASEAN Education Cooperation Week, the conference brought together 33 participants from China, Malaysia, Thailand, and the Philippines. The Kuala Lumpur University of Science and Technology (KLUST) was represented by Prof. Dr. Suraya Amirrudin, Deputy Vice Chancellor (Student Affairs, Culture and International Relations), and Prof. Ir. Ts. Dr. Tan Chee Fai, Deputy Vice Chancellor (Industry–Academia Collaboration, Strategic Research & Engagement), who were both invited as speakers.
Prof. Dr. Suraya delivered a presentation titled “Teacher Development in the AI Era: Empowering Educators with AI Literacy for Sustainable Teaching Innovation,” while Prof. Ir. Ts. Dr. Tan spoke on “AI-Driven Talent Cultivation: Building Future-Ready Engineers and Educators.”

The conference aimed to establish a cross-border collaborative network integrating industry, academia, research, and application; to promote the practical adoption of AI technologies in educational settings; to provide a platform for dialogue among global experts and scholars in support of high-quality education; and to strengthen educational research cooperation among ASEAN countries.

Overall, the two-day event proved to be highly productive and insightful for all participants, and KLUST was honoured to contribute to this significant regional initiative.
