The Centre for Foundation and General Studies (CFGS), Kuala Lumpur University of Science and Technology (KLUST) successfully organised the KLUST eFootball Competition 2026 on 27 August 2026 at the KLUST MPR, Level 5, Block 11 (Student Hub). The competition was organised as a student engagement initiative, providing students with an opportunity to connect through digital sports, friendly competition and campus activities.
The competition featured a full tournament format, beginning with participant registration and briefing, followed by the group-stage matches, quarter-finals, semi-finals, third-place match and grand final. The event concluded with a prize-giving ceremony and group photography. After a series of competitive matches, the tournament concluded with 1st Place, 2nd Place and 3rd Place being awarded to the top three participants. The champion received RM300, while the runner-up and third-place winner received RM200 and RM100, respectively.
The event was supported by a dedicated CFGS organising team comprising of Ms Nalinah Poongavanam, Mr Adrian Poh Bin Jeffry Poh (Programme Director), Mr Muhammad Hafiz Aiman Bin Hassan, Dr Gregory Henry, and Mr Mohamad Amirul Fadzly Bin Mohamad Fauzie.
Beyond the competition, the programme encouraged teamwork, communication, coordination, sportsmanship and healthy competition, while giving students an opportunity to participate in campus life beyond the classroom. The organising committee also gained valuable experience in event management, technical support and collaborative problem-solving.
Through the KLUST eFootball Competition 2026, CFGS continues to provide engaging platforms that connect students through contemporary interests while contributing to a vibrant, inclusive and student-oriented campus community
