KLUST / Thursday, 25 April 2013 / Published in Archived Campus News

On 6 February 2014, the Indian Cultural Society had organised a charity event known as “RU III 2014”, at the Multipurpose Hall. This event has been held since 2011. Every year the expectation of this event increases as it has always been organised in a professional manner by consistently emphasizing on the importance of punctuality and teamwork.

The line of interesting performances that night included sketches, songs and dances by the very own IUKL students. Moreover, SEGI University students and local artists also performed ensuing to a full house until midnight. The audience were spotted singing and clapping hands along with the performers. The presence of the media at this event had also uplifted the spirits of the Indian Cultural Society members.

A total of RM35,000 was managed to be collected through the sale of tickets and donations from 23 companies. The child who received the money was Navelash Sugumar, who is a patient at the Appolo Hospital in Chennai, India. The recipient chosen to receive the financial assistance through this charity event was an individual who had to undergo medical treatment for curable disease.

With the continuing support from the IUKL management, the generation Y of IUKL are more eager to hold future charitable works.
