On the eve of the 2026 Huangshan RCEP China–ASEAN International Conference, and ahead of the official signing ceremony between Hefei University of Technology and Kuala Lumpur University of Science and Technology (KLUST), a delegation led by Chairman Prof. Chen Xiaoyun of KLUST visited HFUT for an academic exchange. Prof. Hong Richang, Member of the University Standing Committee and Vice President of HFUT, extended a warm welcome to the delegation.
During the meeting, both universities engaged in in-depth discussions on joint talent development and reached preliminary consensus. The collaboration will cover four undergraduate programmes—including Intelligent Construction and Environmental Engineering—along with three master’s programmes and two doctoral programmes, as well as integrated Bachelor–Master–PhD pathways in engineering disciplines.
Prof. Hong Richang also expressed his hope to further strengthen academic exchanges between faculty members of both institutions. The two sides held detailed discussions on the joint establishment of a Key Laboratory under the Belt and Road Initiative, as well as the co-organisation of international academic conferences.
This meeting has laid a solid foundation for deepening educational collaboration and advancing high-level joint talent cultivation between the two universities, marking a new stage in their partnership.
